Marc Sadler who originally created the 'Twiggy Floor Lamp' which is a stunning piece of lighting furniture that the world seems to enjoy! 

Marc Sadler - Twiggy Floor Lamp

Born in Innsbruck on the 4th December 1946, Marc Sadler is an iconic French designer currently residing in Milan. Marc graduated from ENSAD in Paris 1968 and collaborated with a number of French businesses. He was heavily involved in the sports industry mainly working with the production and R&D of new materials to which he filed patents for some of his work.

in 1971 Marc Sadler moved to Italy and started to work on designer plastic ski boots in which he designed the Symmetric shell system for Caber.

Marc became an academic teaching, holding conferences and seminars at various schools and universities both in Italy and overseas. 

Marc received the 'Compasso d'oro' prize for the 'soft lamp drop' designed for Flos-Arteluce in 1995. He was then awarded 'Createur de l'annee' at the Salon Du Meuble in Paris 1997. He was then later famed for his works on the 'Motorcyclist Back Projector' when it became part of the permanent collection at Moma New York in 1998.
